You make me feel like a sticky pistil...
leaning into a stamen
You make me feel like a mister sunshine...
Himself
You make me feel like splendor in the grass...
While we're rollin'
Damn skippy baby
You make me feel like the Amazon's runnin' between...
my thighs
CHORUS:
You make me feel love, love, love, love, love
love, love, love, love, love
You make me feel love, love, love, love, love
love, love, love, love
You make me feel like a candy apple
All red and horney
You make me feel like I wanna be a dumb blonde
In a centerfold, the girl next door
And I would open the door and...
I'd be all wet
With my **** soaking through this tiny little t-shirt...
That I'm wearing
And you would open the door and tie...
Me up to the bed
Chorus
Lover, I don't know who I am OOohhh
Am I very wide? Am I hot inside? Ohhh...
Lover, I'm glazed with your compunctions
Oh baby babe babe baby
I will be your Desdemona ahhhhh...
Take your time

Sap on lilies?
My Fiance bought me a bouquet of oriental lilies and I am going on day 10 with them, most of them have bloomed and a few of the flowers now have some clear liquidy substance forming on their pistil. I am not sure what it is I thought it was just water but it is thick. I was just wondering if anyone knew what this was and if it has anything to do with the lilies reproduction at all. I would love to be able to grow some more of these as they are beautiful flowers.
Sap on lilies?
The liquid exudation is meant as a trap for the incoming pollen grains .
Reply:It is nectar it is what the bees and hummingbirds eat.

Two Questions!?
A benefit of hydroponics is that it
*creates insect-resistant crops.
*saves money.
*enables crops to grow in areas with poor soil.
*reduces the use of fertilizer.
Germination will not happen unless a seed
*absorbs water.
*uses its stored food.
*is dispersed far from the plant that produced it.
*grows stamens and a pistil.
Two Questions!?
Seeds absorb water in pre-germination stage. Seeds need both air and water to have a good germination rate. As seeds receive less water their germination rate goes down.

Hydroponics allows crop to be grown anywhere irregardless of the soil qualities.
While it does not eliminate the fertilizer use it uses no more than is needed with the ability to filter and reuse the nutrient solutions for potted plants. There should be no run off loss into the surrounding environment. It is a more efficient use of nutrients as compared to farming. There are several ways to grow hydroponically depending on the specific plant's requirements so high value small crops can be grown.

Please help! I've been struggling with these questions forever!?
1. Which of the following are capable of self-pollination? Explain. (There can be more than one answer)
(A) A flower with a pistil, stamens, petals, and sepals
(B) A flower with stamens and petals
(C) A flower with a pistil, petals, and sepals?
2. Which of those flowers require another flower for pollination? Explain.
Please help! I've been struggling with these questions forever!?
#1 is A as it has both a Pistil (the female reproductive organ) and Stamen (male reproductive organ)
#2 is B and C both because they only have one of the required sex organs
Reply:pistil,stamens A
petals and sepals arent involved
A B C
A can be a normals flower
B and see just have one sex so need another for pollination
Reply:Petals and sepals are irrelevant to the question of self-pollination.
To self-pollinate a flower needs both pistil and stamens. Therefore A can self-pollinate. Stamens produce pollen, so a flower with stamens only (B) can polinate another flower but cannot be pollinated. Flower C, with a pistil only, needs pollen from another flower.

Wearing hats all day long?
Hi,
I wonder how some people wear these all day long? Things like these: http://www.thegreenhead.com/imgs/pistil-...
I am guessing these are special ones that lets air in, unlike the ones for cold? Doesn't it cause overheating and itching?
Also where can I find these kind of hats? Preferably ones that doesn't have stitch marks so it would look totally round on the top however you wear them.
Thanks.
Wearing hats all day long?
im sure those hats are hot to wear all day but ppl wear them cuz they think they look "cool"
Reply:maybe a lot fo people that these hats have shaved their head and dont have hair so it doesnt cause over heating or itching.

Help afew biology questions i need help with my book dosent explain it very well?
A walnut is most likely dispersed by animals eating it, because it is too heavy to be carried by the wind, healthy nuts sink in water, and they can't get caught in animals fur.
Double fertilization occurs inside the ovule.
The megaspore in a conifer becomes the female gametophyte.
A flower with sepals, petals, stamens, and pistils is called a complete flower because it has both male and female parts.
Reply:1. walnuts have a thick 'skin' around the nut, so this would have to be removed by an animal. Squirrels often bury nuts that they find and then forget them, which can result in germination and therefore seed dispersal.
2. In the ovule. One fertilizes the egg cell to form the embryo, the other fertilization gives rise to the endosperm.
3. I have a book entitled Plant Identification and Terminology that says the megaspore becomes the female gametophyte.
4. this would be a complete flower.

Ever heard of this Song? What do you think of the lyrics?
Artist: Paula Cole (from Dawson's Creek "i don't wanna wit) Lyrics
Song: Feelin' Love Lyrics
You make me feel like a sticky pistil
Leaning into her stamen.
You make me feel like Mr. Sunshine himself.
You make me feel like splendor in the grass where we're rolling
Damn skippy baby
you make me feel like the Amazon's running between my thighs.
You make me feel love
You make me feel like a candy apple all red and horny
You make me feel like I want to be dumb blonde
In a centerfold, the girl next door.
And I would open the door and I'd be all wet
With my **** soaking through this tiny little t-shirt
That I'm wearing and you would open the door
And tie me up to the bed.
You make me feel love
Lover, I don't know who I am
Am I Barry White?
Am I hot inside?
What would I place with your hot conscious
Oh baby babe babe babe
I will be your death the moon light
Take your time
You make me feel love

Hey, it's on the City of Angels soundtrack. Funky, isn't it? REminds me of when Sheena Easton did Sugar WAlls.

Grade 9 biology question?
Would it be better for a flower to have a longer stamen or a longer pistil? Why?
Grade 9 biology question?
I would think a longer pistil, as you would not want the stamen to drop pollen on your pistil for a selfing event to happen. And pollen would be brought in from another flower and first rubbed against the taller pistil.

QUESTION ABOUT PLANTSS!! their structure...etc. please help!?
1. How does a pollen grain get to the stigma of a pistil?
2. how does the structure of the stigma aid in pollination?
QUESTION ABOUT PLANTSS!! their structure...etc. please help!?
1. Pollen grains are distributed many ways. Insects pollinate plants, some plants use wind to disperse their pollen, and birds (like hummingbirds) sometimes aid pollination, too. There are other ways, but I think these three are good enough for your question.
2. A stigma is long and projects itself from the flower far enough to catch pollen grains in whatever way they are dispersed. Some have a sticky substance on its tip to catch the pollen grains and hold them.
Kinda vague, but it's been awhile since I took botany class. Hope it helped!
Reply:Good job with the explanation, Kalani. It's been a while since I taught botany at a university, but you explained it accurately and clearly.

Can anyone help me with science homwork? (botany)?
Ok so I need to write a story about "me" from a plant's point of view, and I need to include vocab words, and I did the easy once but I don't know how to use words like xylem, pollination, gymnosperms, phloem, stamen, anthler, fertilization, angiosperm, pistil, stigma, glucose, and germination. Any ideas? At least 3 ideas will get me wriing again. Please help me.
Can anyone help me with science homwork? (botany)?
I'm an angiosperm, so I'm trying to produce flowers with stigmas, pistils, anthers, and stamens in the hopes that I will attract a pollinator and get fertilized, and also pass my pollen on to other flowers.
Because of my flowers, I'm so much prettier than those gymnosperms.
Hope the sun comes out soon, I can't wait to photosynthesize and make some more glucose! ;)

Do you understand this comparison?
When I was in the 11th grade, the English teacher that I had was making this comparison:
A bee's stinger goes into a flower's pistil as a man's penis goes inside a woman's vagina.
Do you understand this comparison?
You had a pervet teacher, thats all.
All the best!/
Reply:He was comparing the two: pollination and fertilization.
I don't think he was referring to the sexual act itself....if he
was, a rather poor comparison.

It is obviously wrong.

Question about flowers?
I have a question bout flowers......
In many flowers, the pistils and stamens reach maturity at different times. Why would this be an advantage to the plant?
Question about flowers?
It prevents self pollination, or insures that the plant will be cross pollinated. This is an advantage to the plant because it prevents inbreeding and increases genetic diversity within the
population.
Reply:Its called as Herkogamy. It ensures cross pollination and helps the plant to genitically grow more,be resistant to diseases.....

In Flowers, Pollination will most likely occur when?
a) many specialized cells are realesed from the ovary
b)the wind transfers pollen from the pistil to the stamen
c)insects transfers pollen from an anther to a stigma
d)gravity causes pollen to fall from the stigma to the anthers
In Flowers, Pollination will most likely occur when?
The answer is (c), because pollination requires pollen being transferred from an anther to a stigma. Options (b) and (d) are trick answers, because wind and gravity can result in pollination but they've put the order of pollen transfer backwards.

Does anyone know how to play the final fantsy 10-2?
does anyone have any details on how the floral fallal, right pistil, left pistil i can't get to work like the white mage. can some help me?
Does anyone know how to play the final fantsy 10-2?
Yuna's exclusive dress, Floral Fallal, is brought out when you change to all of her spheres, then that one becomes avaiable.
To heal, use the move called 'White Pollen' and she will heal everything slightly.
If you don't have the move yet, choose it under 'abilities' and wait for her to learn it.
Hope I've helped.
Edit:
No, to be able to use it.
First, switch to every available garment you have in your current grid. Does not matter how many, does not matter which ones.
Then, when you have put on at least every garment on your current grid, you will get the option to change into Floral Fallal.
Reply:i love that game but its so hard

Reply:You have switch your style's on the grid in and out to link the spires(the specific spire haves to be on the grid to)then the option to use it will show up.

Take a rifle and ammo for it. One hunting knife and a whetstone. An Axe and one pistol. Also whatever fabric to make some sort of shelter. The fuel for as a fire starter. And probably stay by the plane... it's easier to spot for rescuers than you running around on your own.

Can someone please help me identify this plant?!?
my mom got this plant for mothers day and i have absolutely no idea what it is and if i don't find out soon it might die. I have a picture if it will help but it has bamboo around it, and the petels of the plant are thick and red, and the pistil is a long thick yellow cone thing. There are a whole lot more parts to it that look weird and i can barely describe but it will be a great help if someone could help me!
Can someone please help me identify this plant?!?
Maybe its a daisy or a petunia, or a lilly, or a dahlia, or a begonia, or a sunflower.

For 10 points answer this question about flowers?
The pistil is the collective term for the carpel(s). Each carpel includes an ovary (where the ovules are produced; ovules are the female reproductive cells, the eggs), a style (a tube on top of the ovary), and a stigma (which receives the pollen during fertilization).

Reply:A typical flower has the following parts and their individual component.
1) Calyx = The outer most floral whorl , usually green in color.
the individual components are Sepals ( All sepals together form Calyx)
2 ) Corolla = It is inner to calyx . Usually attractively colored. The individual components are called Petals ( All petals together form corolla.)
3 ) Androecium = It is the third floral whorl in the sequence . It is commonly refereed to as the Male Reproductive Whorl and its individual components are called Stamens . The anther at the top produce Pollen Grains.( All stamens together form Androecium )
4 ) Gynoecium OR Pistil = It is the last and the inner most floral whorl . The individual members are called Carpels . The ovary at the base contains ovules that turn in to seeds after pollination and fertilization. ( All carpels together form Gynoecium or Pistil )
So , Pistil == All the carpels taken together == Gynoecium.
Pistil may be monocarpellary ( Only one carpel )
Or it may be polycarpellary ( Many carpels)

This is just basic information limited to the question asked.

Reply:one starts with a c and the other with a p?
Reply:The pistil is the collective term for the carpel(s). Each carpel includes an ovary (where the ovules are produced; ovules are the female reproductive cells, the eggs), a style (a tube on top of the ovary), and a stigma (which receives the pollen during fertilization).

How many pistils does a vanda flower have?
One per flower.Orchids accomplish their reproductive feats with variations of a basic theme of three petals and three sepals. The two uppermost petals are brightly coloured,The lower petal is a large labellum. the sepals stick out between and behind the petals.Orchids are distinguished from other flowers,by their column,an intricate struture formed by the fused male and female reprodutive parts-the stamin and pistil. s

I have a 12-18 inch flower with hairy leaves.?
The flowers resemble a delicate buttercup, have yellow central pistil areas. The petals fall off every afternoon and new flowers appear the next morning. What is the name of this flower?
I have a 12-18 inch flower with hairy leaves.?
Is it perhaps a type of Oenothera? There are a lot of yellow ones in the group (ie: Oenothera fruticosa, O. tetragona, O. erythrosepala...) and the flowers only last one day.

Reply:I believe you may have the same flower I have been trying to identify - and found this information listed at the source cite below. The picture doesn't quite fit, but they are 12-18 tall, very hairy leaves and the pods are clustered at the top of the plant. Apparently called Evening Primrose. Mine are yellow - but there are other colors available.
Reply:I think we badly need to see a photo.

So you don't think evolution is a realisitc theory?
Why do flightless birds have wings?
Why do whales have hind leg bones?
Why do humans have a tailbone?
Why do certain cave dwelling animals have eyes but cannot see?
Why do Dandelions, like all flowers, have the proper organs (stamen and pistil) necessary for sexual reproduction, but do not use them.
Why do males have breast tissue and nipples?
Why do we have an appendix?
So you don't think evolution is a realisitc theory?
I would have to ask the same question because I definitly think evolution is a realistic theory, and all those religious people who don't think it is are kinda insane.
Reply:Of course its a realistic theory, its the only one we have - if people really want to be adamant on their religion they should find some way around having to completely avoid the theory of evolution - why not just say mankind were transformed into apes from God's Wrath and then evolved down - I guess you could say evolution isn't realistic, but its alot more realistic than 'Because God made it that way' - in this case the simplest hypothesis, isn't necessarily, the true one.
Reply:yes, i dont believe in evolution, because i dont believe we came from monkeys.
Reply:The more I learn about evolution the more I believe it. That's not to say there was some kind of 'intelligent design' that started the whole process off though.
Reply:So kimba you think you are perfectly sane? Shocking go **** yourself
