I have a question bout flowers......
In many flowers, the pistils and stamens reach maturity at different times. Why would this be an advantage to the plant?

It prevents self pollination, or insures that the plant will be cross pollinated. This is an advantage to the plant because it prevents inbreeding and increases genetic diversity within the
population.
Reply:Its called as Herkogamy.It ensures cross pollination and helps the plant to genitically grow more,be resistant to diseases.....
