Would it be better for a flower to have a longer stamen or a longer pistil? Why?
Grade 9 biology question?
I would think a longer pistil, as you would not want the stamen to drop pollen on your pistil for a selfing event to happen. And pollen would be brought in from another flower and first rubbed against the taller pistil.
